General Manager, Silvaco China Co. Ltd.

Sharon Fang is a seasoned executive with a distinctive combination of sales, marketing, strategic thinking and operational skills, successful track record and driving revenue growth as both an individual contributor and sales manager in EDA. Sharon currently serves as General Manager for Silvaco China. In her role as head of China region, Sharon is putting together the necessary processes and infrastructure to streamline the sales process, empowering individuals and teams to maximize value to customer as well as ROI. The China organization is focused on helping drive customer success through the use of Silvaco TCAD-to-sign off solutions, modeling services, IP management & compliance software while driving business growth for the company.
Sharon holds a bachelor of Art degree from Southwest China Normal University and an MBA degree from Saint Mary’s College of California.

Iliya Pesic

Executive Chairman of the Board

Iliya Pesic is Silvaco’s Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Silvaco, he worked for many years in the TCAD, semiconductor, MEMS and biomedical industries, most recently as a senior process engineer of a fabrication facility.
Pesic obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University and continued his education at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan, where he obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electronic Engineering under the guidance of Professor Fujio Masuoka, the inventor of flash memory.

Xiaojun Guo

Dr. Xiaojun Guo leads the Printed Electronics and Flexible Integration (pEFi) research lab for the future sustainable and intelligent society of “internet of everything”. Dr. Guo has authored more than 60 technical papers in international journals, and given more than 20 invited talks in international conferences organized by IEEE/SID/ECS/SPIE societies
Dr. Xiaojun Guo received his first degree in electronic engineering from Jilin University, and a Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the University of Surrey, Guildford. Before joining Shanghai Jiao Tong University, he worked at Plastic Logic Ltd.

Thomas Blaesi
Next Generation of SoC Design Flow: From Atoms to System Solutions Thomas F. Blaesi
Vice President, Global Marketing, Silvaco, Inc.

Thomas F. Blaesi is Vice President of the global marketing group, which is chartered with defining, driving, and promoting Silvaco’s leadership in the TCAD, EDA and IP market. Key areas of responsibility include strategic planning, corporate marketing, product marketing, market research, brand management, corporate communications, and ecosystem alliance programs.
Thomas joined Silvaco in October 2017 with more than 25 years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, and marketing in semiconductor and electronic design automation industries. He has led major projects in SoC platform-based design, system-level design, and design for manufacturing in addition to hands-on experience in custom and semi-custom chip design and development.
Most recently, Thomas was the managing partner at Zeema Technologies. Before that, he served as CEO of Chipvision, and has held various senior business and technical positions at Cadence, Synopsys, and LSI Logic.
Thomas holds a BS in electrical engineering and computer science from Hochschule Furtwangen University, Germany.

Stephen Fairbanks
How Custom I/O Can Benefit You Stephen Fairbanks

In the semiconductor industry, he has been developing custom I/O and ESD libraries for 20 years. Most notable were his efforts at Intel Corporation where he was the lead developer of the ESD and I/O libraries for what was then Intel's wireless, cellular and mobile computing groups. He lead the development of IO and ESD used on the initial and many subsequent generations of the wireless components (MAC basebands and RF Front Ends) for the Intel Centrino chipsets. He left Intel in 2006 to work as an ESD Ci=onsulting, eventually founding Certus Semiconductor in 2009. At Certus Semiconductor, he has lead the development of ESD process design rules, ESD libraries, and IO libraries in Logic, RF and Mixed-signal processes in every node from 0.25um, down to 7nm. He has developed IO's and supported ESD solutions for every major semiconductor company including Intel, Samsung, Qualcomm, Cisco, NXP (and Freescale), Texas Instruments, Cadence, Mentor, and many others. Stephen is also familiar with several specialty processes, including HV BiCMOS, Flash memory, SiGe, SOI, FD-SOI, SOS and InP.

Apart from ESD and IO design, he has a done significant work in system design, including compliance testing to standards such as CE, UL and other international standards.

Won-Seok Lee

Won-Seok Lee is a Senior Applications Engineer at Silvaco Korea. He has over 20 years of experience in the simulation division including modeling and device physics.
His responsibilities include Technical device theory and support of Silvaco EDA customers for a wide variety of applications.
Additionally, he is a dedicated developer of dynamic models for SPICE.

Takeshi Kuwagaki

Takashi Kuwagaki joined Silvaco in 1997, and ever since has engaged himself in key technical areas such as Layout Editing, Layout Proof & Extract tools, etc.

Kuwagaki is responsible for the entire Back-End EDA in Japan. He obtained his BS degree in Applied Science from Osaka City University.

Kevin Chang

Kevin Chang has worked in the TCAD area of the semiconductor and display market for more than 10 years, and has lots of experience supporting customer success in process and device simulation and 3D physical parasitic extraction tools.

Ben Chou

Ben Chou is Chipone Technology’s VP of Research and Development. He graduated from Taiwan’s National Chiao Tung University with a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He possesses 20 years of experience in the IC Design industry, with 18 years of experience in management roles, and has held positions at some of the world’s top-tier IC Design companies.

Joonwoo Jung

Joonwoo Jung received the B.S. and M.S. degree from Sogang University, Seoul, Korea, in 2004 and 2006, respectively, all in electrical engineering.

He is currently a staff design engineer at Foundry Business, Samsung Electronics, Korea, working on analog mixed-signal circuit designs and their design methodologies.

Debin Li

Debin Li is a Senior TCAD application engineer in Silvaco Japan. He is responsible for various TCAD supports with specialty in displays and photonics. He has over 15 years of experience in TCAD modeling and simulation. Dr. Li holds a BS and MS from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, and a Ph.D. from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, USA.

Alex Hsu

Alex has a MS degree in VLSI-EDA from the National Taipei University of Technology. He has over 10 years of experience in the EDA industry supporting Mixed-Signal simulation and customer IC design tools. Currently Alex is a Senior Field Application Engineer of Silvaco Taiwan.

Jens C. Michelsen

Mr. Michelsen was Director of Physical Design at Vitesse’s Ethernet Products Division. Before joining Vitesse, he served as Physical Design Manager of Exbit Technology. Mr. Michelsen has more than 15 years of industry experience within leading companies including Intel, Olicom and GN Nettest, in areas ranging from mathematical modeling to physical design. In recent years, physical design and design flow to tapeout have been his main focus. He holds several US patents in communications and IC design.

Ke Liu

Ke Liu received his Master’s degree from NUDT in 2009 and has spent lots time on memory circuit design. After graduating from NUDT, he joined Cadence and stayed there for about two years as a product engineer responsible for SPICE/Fast-SPICE simulators like Spectre, Ultrasim etc.

Sun Tao has 15 years industry experience with Ph.D degree in Microelectronics, before joining Silvaco, he worked for RF leading companies including Globalfoundries, TowerJazz and HHGrace. Currently he is application manager for Silvaco Singapore.

Graham Bell

Graham Bell is Sr. Director of Marketing at Silvaco. He started his career developing analog and mixed-signal circuit simulation software. He went on to become a PSPICE developer for MicroSim before launching a non-linear RF simulation product company. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree in computer hardware from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
